Friday Happiness

Things I've learned this week::
That watercolor paper is really expensive, and acrylic paints don't come right off of a four year old.
That the best way to get help is to ask for it.
That I do not like dark-chocolate covered edamame, but I do like roasted shrimp cocktail.
How to play the pentatonic scale on the bass guitar.
That even the best laid plans need to be changed, sometimes.
That the chemistry between Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn can not save every movie that they are in together.
That there is a place behind the Pleasantville train station that makes hands-down the best lobster roll I have ever eaten. Anywhere.
That it still gets light out very early in the morning, but it's getting dark, earlier and earlier in the evenings.
That I am so not beyond needing my mommy.
Learn anything new this week?
Enjoy the weekend! Thanks for reading.

I learned that I don't really have that much to say, but I'm talking all the time.
A change will hopefully come next :)
i learned that diatomaceous earth will keep ants at bay. who knew?
i love your list. made me think of my mom (and all the times i need her) and "seems like old times". i love the end of that movie.
i learned that people (by which i mean women) are just as hard on each other in cyberspace as they are in real life and that makes me a little bit sad...
i don't think i'd like chocolate-covered edamame either.
i've learned that friends are always friends no matter what
a bacon sandwich takes me back to childhood
flowers continue to make me happy, even when i'm panicked
and....sometimes obligations are obligations and you just have to suck it up and cope
I learned that if I joke with my boys a lot more they'll listen to me when I need them to do something important...like clean their rooms.
How did I NOT know about the Pony Express? I'm going there right now to pick up dinner. Really. Thank you! (And I might stop at Flour and Sun bakery on my way home.)
