Yesterday, I was grumpy. Today, I'm bashful.

When Sheri asked me to do a home tour at cafemom a little while ago, I was tickled pink. How fun! I get to talk about my house? I spend a ridiculous amount of time devoting myself to putting those candles and pictures in just the right spot, and collecting mason jars and tablecloths like they're going out of style, and moving the furniture around so often that I confuse the cat...and now someone wants to ask me questions about it?! Where do I sign?
Well, it's posted today, and all of a sudden I'm bashful and self conscious. So please, go check it out, here. But be kind.
And, if you have ever actually been in my house, and are wondering where all the dirty socks and wineglasses and laundry baskets and bookbags are, just pipe down. Or I'm coming over to your house, and I'm bringing my camera.
More tomorrow. Thanks for reading.

what a beautiful, authentic and cozy home. thank you for share your bashful self!
ok...let's just start by saying 1100sq ft??? that is awesome (i've been trying to figure out if we can make it in 12-1300 square ft and you just gave me the photos to prove we can! the house is gorgeous and light, the dining table is PERFECT and the love that exists in your home oozes out of every photo. Congrats on the story and thanks for sharing!
hahahaha, you can't come in my bedroom then.
I loved your warm little house
A beautiful home! I wish I had some slip covers that could be thrown in the wash! So neat.
wow.
how lovely to see your home.
the shoes get me - I thought we had a lot of shoes but .... you take it to a whole new dimension.
have a good day!
Beautiful! As always. And after doing the metric conversion of 1100 sq ft, I'm in AWE. Dear Tara, I'm having the biggest crush on you right now. Can I come join your tribe?
Love,
A.
thanks for sharing your home with all of us. it's lovely, just like you.
Bashful? I think I should be the bashful one here, with twice as much space for half as many people!
Thank you for such a beautiful look at your home - I am in awe, and completely inspired. As much as I love my big old house, I'm looking forward to re-creating in a smaller space. I'll be referring back to this show and tell :)
Your home is beautiful, and a lot like I imagined, though I did omit the shoes. You are courageous to share -- there's something so intimate about showing your home to strangers.
it was absolutely gorgeous and i didn't want it to end. and i can't believe your house is only 1100sqfeet. that's madness! and i never would have imagined it from your pictures.
i'm in total agreement that new duvet covers from ikea and new tea towels go a long way towards renewing things. i'm going to get some of heather moore's new teapot design teatowels very soon.
i love that you use jars as milk glasses. we use our little ikea ittala knock-offs for everything, including wine. and somehow your jars make me more certain than ever that that's ok. :-)
Thanks for giving us a peek into your lives. I know that it must have been difficult to do.
I love your basket philosophy! and I'm in total agreement:) What a beautiful home you have shared with us...
I love your house! Your farm table is my absolute dream table and I love the simplicity and charm of your decorating. You have also reawakened my love of tea towels. I might just have to head to Anthropologie tomorrow...
