In Woodstock, today.
Lines. On the way home, driving down the Taconic, moving fast.
Some days, you botch things up a bit.
You have a few misteps.
Missed steps.
Some days, you do a few things right,
but one thing you did
not quite so right,
[even if you weren't exactly wrong,
it just didn't feel right]
sticks to the roof of your mouth,
and nothing else tastes
the way it might have
the rest of the day
if you had not had
that one bad spoonfull.

Some days, all you have,
at the end of the day,
to show or to tell,
are two pictures,
that you think
look nice together.

Some days, that will have to be enough.

See you tomorrow. Thanks for reading.

i like your two photos together - the repetition of line... and it's plenty.

it happens to me a lot...but what i've realized is learning to let it go is important. say what needs to be said, do what needs to be done, forgive yourself and move on. it took me just over 40 years to realize we are all human and perfectly imperfect...and there is beauty in that. see you tomorrow....

These are beautiful together. I am coming to appreciate in the simple beauty of images side by side.

One of the most amazing things to me is the sun rises every day - every day is a new beginning. We get to start over.

and especially the drop of water falling from the thorny rose stem -- what a metaphor for life...prickly days still yield the essence of what sustains us.
