little failures:
{the other list}
.not doing yoga with anna every morning, despite repeated, adorable requests.
.lacking any self-discipline in the following areas: everything bagels with cream cheese, cornichons, sweetart hearts, black tea, homemade pizza, red wine, cinnamon rolls, hot sauce, cookie dough, new tea towels, replaying the same cd over and over, cookbooks, and flickr. i could go on, but...
.ignoring, flat-out ignoring, the mounting pile on my desk.
.driving the car across the street the other night for dinner. (tim's shaking his head right now.)
.not scheduling a mammogram yet.
.being too lenient with the girls about staying home "sick".
.not being lenient enough about making messes.
.perennially forgetting my nieces' and nephews' birthdays.
.rarely finishing the book for book club (although this time , no problem.)
alrighty, then. i think that's just about enough of that.
more tomorrow. thanks for reading.

the pussy willows and cat and painted white table photos completely absolve you from the failure list:)
Wow. Are you sure this isn't my list?
I constantly fall short on my list of things to do....
But, as long as we keep moving forward I believe it will all be good.
looks familiar. how about today we live in a guilt free zone(maybe tomorrow too)???
my list would surely follow suit. i'm blaming it on spring fever. well, cabin fever too! xo ps: thanks for your note. i will write soon.
i am new here, but after reading about your little failures i really like you :)
What if we changed the title of this list from little failures to little indulgences? How do you feel about them now? :)
My indulgences to add to the list today are too many chocolate covered raisins.
my list is just about the same, except you could have added "sullen" to it. glad tim is home. xo
i could add my name to this list too! and really, it would do us all some good if we thought like heather. indulgences. i like that.
um, if that's your list of failures, i'd say you're in excellent shape, friend.
awww, honey. like the rest of us, you're too hard on yourself.
sometimes these failures are what keeps us sane, i think.
or are you saying i have to give up craisins?
With a list like that I don't think you have too much to worry about!
And mammograms aren't that bad...really.
my list is longer.
(feel better now?)
I'm right there with you! I keep falling short on my list, plus it's Lent, so I have all that Catholic guilt to deal with.
Yes, that's enough of that!
And "Out Stealing Horses" is one of the best books I've ever read. Glad you liked it too. Maybe someday we'll talk about it over homemade pizza and red wine - two things I refuse to say no to, too.
maybe so, but those photos can go on your list of successes.
i have a haunting failure list too. xo.
