and then just like that, it's spring.
no matter what the calendar says,
or what next week may bring.
i have seedlings,
and a cup of tea left outside from morning,
a little girl on a scooter,
warmer sun flooding clean floors,
muddy boots on the porch,
short sleeves pulled down from top shelves,
a hankering for salad and roasted asparagus,
soft, airy scarves,
blooms on branches,
a lifting of weight,
and a lightening of thoughts,
that tell me it's so.
and i'm ready. thanks for reading.

I'm ready too and will borrow just a ray or two of your sunshine and when it's sunny here Thursday if you need some then I'll give it back, ok?
So you shot & developed these today?
oh I'm ready too Tara. The light helps a lot! Lots of mud here too, but it's okay. I miss the days of playing outside with a little one. enjoy!
me too, t. me too. such a beautiful post. today was pure bliss. xo
i looked at my front yard today and wondered if it was too early. i think i may wait until good friday.
tara, that first photo is just so lovely.
just like that.
today at least a half a dozen bees joined me in my (open air) studio to inquire as to what i was doing with their wax. i could really almost hear their perfectly logical questions as they buzzed to and fro over my heated palette....
...we have been spending the day pumping out our basement...then maybe I'll start on the yard...Love your photos!
Oh. Congrats. I'm just a wee bit jealous. There's still so much ice here, I wonder if it ever will disappear. But there's something in the air that gives me hope. And the light is back, big time. Ice and light, we are living the cliché of Scandinavia.
declare it and it shall be
i found you through tangled sky blog & so glad! your photos & words are all so pretty & tender. happy spring & sending thoughts of daisies...
I hear our good weather shall start this weekend. I can barely contain myself.
it feels the same here, tara. as though the switch has been flipped and spring has flickered on, bright and alive.
happy wednesday.
