Open Gardens
Not my chair, not my view. But oh, my...very lovely.
Not my art studio, but open for all, today, and we took full advantage.
My kid, and her painting. A bright spot on the garden tour, for her. (And a thank you to the kind, patient, child-whisperer who was there to talk her through her creating.)
Our house, our porch, my flowers.
Our house, our front steps, my new container plantings. (Because the leggy pansies were downright unsightly, and they just wouldn't do for open gardens.)
I'm awfully proud of what Tim has done with our little garden, these last five years. I'm just not so good at the long shot. I'll work on getting some photos that do his work justice.
For now, let me just say, that a day that started out a little stressful, ended up being not only a lot of fun, but one that made me realize just how lucky we are. Not the least for having friends to come and porch sit, at the end of the day.
More tomorrow. Thanks for reading.
